Applications are invited in the prescribed format from Male candidates for engagement of 412 (FOUR HUNDRED AND
TWELVE) posts of Drivers (contractual) Police Driver (contractual) purely on contractual basis under Kolkata Police through
Driving Test and Interview
Details of the terms & conditions and modalities of the engagement
A. Terms of Engagement:
0 Purely temporary on contractual basis.
ii) Initially the contract of the engagement will remain in force for 01 (one) year from the date of
engagement which may be renewed based on satisfactory performances subject to approval of the Govt. Under no circumstances, these contractual persons will be absorbed in regular establishment of the Government
The consolidated monthly remuneration will be Rs. 13.300/-only or as per the rate fixed by
the Govt of West Bengal amended from t m time to time.
B.
ELIGIBILITY
The applicant must be a citizen of India and should be a permanent resident of West Bengal (the residents of Kolkata Police jurisdiction area will be preferred)
Age Limit: 21-40 YEARS AS ON 01/09/2023
Qualification: Class VIII Passed from a recognized School
Technical Qualification: Must possess valid Transport License. Experience. At least 3 (three) years experience of driving in any Government
organization/ Quasi Government organization/ Registered Pvt. Ltd. Co. etc.
C.
SELECTION PROCEDURE
Driving Test & Interview: The candidates submitting valid applications will be called for Driving Test and Interview Full Marks- 40 (Driving Test-20 & Interview-20)]
After the Driving Test & Interview a Merit List of provisionally selected candidates will
be prepared on the basis of Marks obtained in both the parts Medical Examination: Provisionally selected candidates will have to undergo a medical
fitness test at Kolkata Police Hospital. Verification of character and antecedents: Provisionally selected candidates will have to
fill up and submit Verification Roll which will be thoroughly enquired into by the authority concerned Execution of Agreement/Contract: Provisionally selected candidates will have to execute iv)
an Agreement/Contract with the appropriate authority of Kolkata Police regarding the
conditions of the engagement
D. HOW TO APPLY
(a) Application forme- Prescribed format of application may be downloaded from Kolkata Police Website www.kolkatapolice go in, which should be printed on white A-4 size paper only.
(b) The following documents are to be attached with the application
(1) Self attested copy of identity proof. (PAN Card/ Passport/Driving License / Voter
Card / Bank Passbook with photograph/ Aadhaar Card / e-Aadhaar Card with a
photograph) (i) Self attested copy of proof of address. (Voter Card / Aadhaar Card / e-Aadhaar Card with photograph/ Passport/Driving License/ Bank Passbook / Electric Bill /Telephone Bill)
i) Self attested copy of proof of age (Birth Certificate/Pan Card/Admit Card of Madhyamik Equivalent Examination/Passport/Driving Licence/Aadhar
Card/School Leaving Certificate)
(iv) Self attested copy of Driving License
(v) Self attested copy of experience certificate. (vi) One copy of recent passport size (4.5cm x 3.5cm), self-attested photograph to be pasted
on the right top of the application
